Fall Fashion: The “Everyday” Boot

22 Aug

Sometimes shopping for the “Everyday” boot can be a game of hit or miss. Comfort, price, style, and/or brand can make the deciding factor very hard to reach. With Fall inching it’s way around the corner it may be time to start adding key pieces to next season’s wardrobe.

The options below are for the woman who wants everyday comfort without sacrificing her sense of style.

Visit your nearest Steve Madden store or visit the website to see other views of the HAVILAND. It comes up over the knee and has an elastic back build for “comfiness”.  At $199.95, your wallet will feel a sense of comfort as well.

If you are looking for a similar boot, at a lesser cost, we found the SPRINGSTON at only $110 at Aldo shoes online store. These knee high boots will make a statement over skinny jeans or with a cute dress this Fall.

The SITCOM at Nine West @ $129 is another great affordable alternative. If simplicity and cost efficiency is your thing, visit Nine West to view their soft suede, flat boot.

The last everyday boot option we have is from our friend, Kenneth Cole. If you want to treat yourself, do it with their GENTLE SOULS. This beautiful, calf/knee high soft leather boot is $350 and worth every dime. See it here or visit a Kenneth Cole near you.

Take your time choosing a boot (or two) – they will be an addition to your closet for the next couple of months. Ladies, whichever the final decision is be sure to make it one that feels like you’re walking on clouds with every step you take.

Custom Clicks for Clanks

I am a victim of the sidewalk shoegasm. Living in NYC, it’s so hard to not walk by a window and have your heart drop to the floor as you ogle a pair of nude pumps, animal print wedges, or strappy gladiator heels.

Then my dreams get crushed when I see the heel.

Being a plus-size girl, I need options. There’s nothing worse than falling in love with a shoe that I know I simply cannot wear. It’s like seeing the man of your dreams walk by with a girl on his arm!

Shoes of Prey

Fear not darlings, Shoes of Prey are here to save the day! A company based out of Australia, Shoes of Prey allows their customers to personalize and build their own pair of shoes through the use of their customization tool. You can choose heel length, color, and type of leather amongst other options.

Being the practical girl I am, I chose a pair of flats. With an Italian Silk magenta flower, my marigold patent-leather toe and back with leopard skin body ballet flats will sure make it through the Fall – and well into the Spring – months of 2010 – 2011.

Make sure no one else will be spotted in your shoes, and pay Shoes of Prey a visit today!

christian siriano + payless = a hit!

siriano

Though the word “fierce” has been long gone and buried, there’s nothing dead about Christian Siriano. Last week, his show during New York’s Fashion Week was impressive. But the star of the show were his shoes! It has been reported that Siriano has created a shoe line for Payless Shoesource. The shoes have an eclectic Egyptian influence (some say they are reminiscent of Rodarte’s Fall 2008 line, but when isn’t fashion somewhat recycled?). The line is a good look for Siriano – and priced from $25 to $45 bucks, we all win! Definitely looking forward to more surprises from Mr. Siriano…
