Gilt goes Editorial!

9 Sep

One of our favorite shopping stops by noon, Gilt Groupe, is putting a new spin on things. They’re taking top trends for fall and making them shoppable with their new theme-based sales, starting September 10th and continuing every Friday throughout the season (all sales commence at 12pm ET).

Tomorrow, they’re launching with one of the hottest trends right now – military inspiration. Says Gilt of the trend:

Get dressed in a uniform of Army greens, dusty khakis and stylish boots (whether you go rugged in flats or sexy in stilettos is up to you). This look is great because it’s so versatile: the color palette is neutral so it works with all skin tones, and the slouchy silhouettes flatter every body type. Plus, who couldn’t use more compartments and pockets for an extra lip gloss or iPhone? Truly utilitarian, this style is on its way to becoming a classic. Need more? Classic nylon trench coats pair with woven dresses and low-heeled sleek boots. Bold hardware dresses up plush leather handbags. And the jewelry selection refuses to go unnoticed, ranging from multi-strap leather bracelets to a gunmetal barbed wire necklace.

They’ll be featuring brands like:

Allegri
Daryl K
Lorick
Sea
Morgane le Fay
Vera Wang Lavender Label
Flutter
Bijules
Alexander Wang
Camilla Skovgaard
Bally
Modern Vintage

Tomorrow, Gilt is also hosting a Stand Up To Cancer shoe sale, where 5% of the net proceeds will go to Stand Up To Cancer to help raise awareness and fund cancer research. Shop coveted brands including Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti, Guillaume Hinfray, Casadei and much more by registering for Gilt at www.gilt.com/standup.

Head over to Gilt tomorrow and happy shopping! Fashion’s Night Out is tomorrow 🙂
