Wishing El Presidente, also known as Barack Obama, a very Happy Birthday! Why not pay homage with the infamous Marilyn Monroe?
If you are ever having a bad day, watch this.
Enjoy the simple pleasures in life. (BTW, this video is hilarious!).
…The mutterings of a man on a mission. A man determined to make his woman feel like she is the absolute ends to his means.
WE TV’s show, “Put a Ring On It” (sigh, Beyonce will always reign supreme), helps men who have grandiose proposal visions bring them to life. In this episode, a NYC man named Michael wants to “freeze time” for his fiance, Nadia. I won’t spoil it for you, but know that @GabiFresh, @PegahRashti, myself and a handful of other Twitter lovelies cried our eyes out. This is clearly NSFE – Not Safe For Emotionals!
Natural beauty at its absolute finest, Yahzarah aka Purple St James, has a voice that will blow your mind. Her range is galactic and her versatility is enormous.
On the road (she hit NYC recently), the Foreign Exchange extract has released her latest single, “The Tickler (Daddy Go Faster)”. A sexy ode to a very special mister, this is an intense video for an intense woman!
A week since its release, Corinne Bailey Rae’s “Closer” still has me mesmerized. Feathers, roller skates, disco balls, and full on glamour, this video encapsulates all that is feminine and sensual – without being overtly sexual and semi-disgusting.
And her hair! Ohhhh, that hair…sends my mind into another galaxy.
Don’t forget, Corinne Bailey Rae’s latest release, The Sea is still available worldwide.
One of my personal favorites, Theophilus London is a killer. Charming, expressive, and down-to-earth, this guy is guaranteed to make you swoon. Not to mention his production and beats knock very hard and are a surefire way to start any girl’s party night.
His new video, the title jam from his I Want You Mixtape, “I Want You” was directed by Vashtie (Pharrell’s old girl, remember?). Vashtie has directed a hit-list of videos, including “Us Placers” by Lupe Fiasco and Kanye West, “T.O.N.Y.” by Solange, “One Time” by Justin Beiber, and some other goodies.
Theophilus in his description of the video:
the visuals of this piece would match the sexual sound of the song. shot less like a typical music video and more like a 60′s experimental french new wave film, our story takes place on a hot and steamy summer night in the CHELSEA HOTEL.
My favorite diva queen is back again, musing from her “Telephone” retro look. If you love pin-up dolls, sass, and booty you will definitely be entertained.
Since I am a true Beyonce fan, I can’t give an honest unbiased opinion. The song is good and the video is just…interesting. It’s a different look for Beyonce, which I can appreciate. Enjoy!
I LOVE short-shorts, high waisted suits, and I die for cocktail rings so this was just unbearable to watch. Now I must go shopping!
Usually I’m humble, right now I don’t choose
You can leave with me or you could have the blues
Some call it arrogant, I call it confident
You decide when you find on what I’m working with
Damn I know I’m killing you with them legs
Better yet them thighs
Matter a fact it’s my smile or maybe my eyes
Boy you a sight to see, kind of something like me
Mhmm, this is the anthem for the summer. Love this song! The video, though, is lacking visually (not out of the ordinary for Bey, but whatever). Enjoy
Ms. Fierce is also re-releasing her latest album (a la B’Day) entitled Above and Beyonce Video Collection and Dance Mixes. It will have some behind-the-scenes footage and about seven videos. It’s slated to hit Wal-Mart (wally’s world! haha) June 16th. Look out for it…
Keyshia looks SUPER pretty in this video…her makeup artist needs to be paid beaucoup bucks. I am sort of sad she sold out and got her gap closed, but we win some and we lose some
When it comes to music, I am very VERY picky. Specifically with popular artists, I usually just write them off as something I wouldn’t want to listen to. So when a friend of mine tried to tell me about a girl group that The Dream was backing, I immediately turned my cheek to it. After a day of convincing, I finally listened.
Agh, I love this song! It’s been on rotation all day. The video is very cute and simple, yet speaks so much to their personalities. And you already know i’m checking out the chica with the curly hair (re: the post before this one). I admit I was being somewhat of a snob, and now I am absolutely smitten. Their album How to Be A Lady is slated to drop very, very soon. Keep those eyes and ears open!
