Yup thats right, before Dwayne Johnson was known as “The Rock” his wrestling alter ego was Rocky Maivia. Here’s the kicker, he was hated by the fans of the WWF.

 

I personally wouldn’t chastise this Samoan beauty no matter what his wrestling personality was. Unfortunately im one of the few people that feel that way. After his football career went astray, D. Johnson joined the WWF as wrestler “Rocky Maivia” (combining the last names of his grandfather and his father) in 1996.

The personality he created for that name was a “good guy” wrestler which quickly bored the fans. The Rock y Maivia personality quickly disappeared once the fans began chanting “Die Rocky Die” at all the wrestling matches.

In 1997 he remerged as THE ROCK and was loved so much he quickly coined the term “The Peoples Champ”.

Remember this!? People did songs with hiiiiim…

intelligence + great sense of humor + laid back style = sexy. what more can i say? samberg genius is definitely eye candy for me; if you haven’t already, check out his film “hot rod” for a great laugh (and lots of head shaking). ardy also cameo’s in the upcoming ” i love you, man” which looks great aside from his presence.
